All of our babysitters are 21+, have at least 5 years of experience, are college educated and have gone through our rigorous 7 step hiring process that includes a thorough background, social media, and reference checks.

After interviewing with a childcare professional on our team, we ensure that each sitter has at least 5 years of paid childcare experience and a CPR and First Aid certification. Additionally, they’ve completed Summit Nannies’ professional babysitting training.

Your sitter will arrive on time. Payment is due to the sitter before they leave, via Electronic Pay (such as Venmo or Apple Pay), or cash.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hiring a Babysitter

Our rates vary per location and per sitter. Booking fees start at $40, unless you have the membership, then booking is free. Our sitters charge between $18 and $30 per hour. After booking, you’ll pay your sitter directly and the booking fee is charged to your credit card on file. For detailed pricing information, please visit our rates page.

Our booking team works 24/7 to match requests with exceptional sitters. However, we cannot guarantee that each request will be filled based on local sitter availability. Please call our office anytime to check on your request!

Absolutely! All of our sitters will send a confirmation text message immediately upon accepting your babysitting job. You can also access your sitter’s phone number at any time prior to your request in your app by clicking on your booking. If you’d like a phone consultation before your childcare date, simply select the “consultation call” option when booking for no additional fee. Your sitter will schedule a time to chat with you before the date over the phone
